OM.2 - Day 19: Friendship

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born. ~ Anais Nin

Everyone we meet is sent as a teacher; some lessons more challenging, and others more pleasant. There is a reason why we encounter every soul living as a person.

Sometimes we think of people and all of sudden we receive a phone call, email or bump into them on the street. If we know that we are truly spirit and therefore energy, we know that we attract energy/spirit back to us sometimes to remind us of something, other times to open a whole new phase of our lives. People open so much for one another.

Today, I encourage you to reach out to someone who has been on your mind lately. Maybe you miss someone, maybe you have to resolve an issue with someone, maybe someone's name has just been coming to your mind. Trust your instinct and reach out today via email, phone or text, and let a new world be born.

OM.2 - Day 18: Resting

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time. - Sir John Lubbock

I am sending this message later in the day, as I hope to encourage you to deem yourself worthy of rest today.

Are you getting enought sleep? Are you getting enough rest each night? Have you prioritized resting and meditating and prayer into your life? What kind of rest do you need into your life? Today approach rest with new eyes. Refill your cup and pour rejuevenation and fresh energy into your cup with rest.

Sleep and rest is so important to our health and our ability to manifest. Sleep allows for the right side of our brain (intuition) to be fortified and to work.

As we abide in sleep, intuitively resonating with the sum of all our experiences - this life and beyond - we gain refreshing perspective on our efforts and have an opportunity to remember what we know. - Henry Reed

Sleep allows us to connect with our infitite intelligence and to work on a quantum level. Do you notice that while you are asleep, your dreams never say "hey you can't do that" or "no that is impossible". The brain only knows these messages when one is awake. When we sleep our brain knows that everything is possible.

So allow yourself to sleep and continue to build and connect to your infinite wisdom!

OM.2 - Day 17: THE BEST

It's a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it. - Somerset Maugham

Yesterday I attended my cousin's wedding, and during the toasting ceremony, I was thankful that so many family member spoke about faith and trusting in God. I was thankful to be a witness to so much love, faith, and blessings.

Today I am encouraging you to expect and accept the best. Often we "settle" or feel like we are taking second place, but when we have faith and trust that as God's children, we are worthy of the best, then we begin to receive the best and except it.

Begin to develop your trust and confidence in yourself and believe that you deserve all of the best. Life is a blank piece of paper that is ready for you to draw, write, paint, doodle, and create on it. So create for yourself the best reality and experience! You deserve happiness and joy and fulfilling all of your highest callings!

OM.2 - Day 14 & 15

Day 14
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?? Would you know how to answer this question immediately or would you have to think about it?

Yesterday in astrology class, we discussed the planet Saturn. Saturn is the planet of limitations, tests, obstables, lessons learned and all that good stuff. Saturn often suggests an area where we may have fear or LIMITATION. At the same time, what Saturn offers is the ability to break through that limitation and fear and reach amazing and explosive breakthroughs in these areas.

We continued to speak about limitation and how sometimes we even feel safe in limiting ourselves. We begin to feel safe in the everyday limits we know.

This summer one of my 11 year old students said she was "bad" at visualizing becuase she doesn't have a "good imagination". I challenged this viewpoint and asked her to look beyond what she thinks is a good imagination.

I tie this all back to the initial question - if you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? What do you want to dream about but I have felt limited in? What are you stopping yourself from dreaming/visualizing/imagining about?

Today I encourage you to dare to dream. Dream about where you will travel! Today take the steps to think about what you want. If you want to think about travelling, begin to perhaps research this place and look online or through magazines for images, and let yourself daydream and visualize the possibilities!

Day 15
“If you nurture your mind, body, and spirit, your time will expand. You will gain a new perspective that will allow you to accomplish much more.”
- Brian Koslow quotes

Today's word of the day in OM is: EXPAND.
Expand means many things but one of the definitions i like are:
-To open (something) up or out; spread out

What do you need to open up about or where do you want to spread out? Today challenge yourself to expand in an area that you usually do not.

Maybe begin a new book you have wanted to read, or perhaps have no TV for the day and do other things you think/daydream about. Expand yourself!!

Enjoy!

OM.2 - Day 11 - Challenging Normal

Happy Monday OM-ers!
Thank you for participating thus far andf sending your energy into being conscious of your choices. For people who are joining late, just a reminder that you can view everything at:
www.operationmanifestation.blogspot.com

“Bad moods become bad days, which become bad weeks, which become bad months and years. Before you know it, you're living an unhappy life and you probably think this is normal.” - Brenda Anderson

What do you think is normal? Why do you think it is normal? Is it normal because everyone around you believes that it is, or is it normal because it seems to be the only thing that you know. Normal implies going by the rules of society, and complying by the standards set by society. I think that we can all agree that the only way that society has ever gone through transformation and revoultion is when some or one has challenged what is normal.

Today ask yourself:
What do I think is normal?
Why do I think it is normal?
Who told me it was normal?
Does normal make me happy?

You can change what you beleive to be normal. If you beleive being stressed out is the norm, you can change it to feel that being free and joyful is the norm. But it begins with your mind and wanting to change. As soon as you plant the seed of being ready to change and embrace your truest happiness, the seed will begin to grow and take over.

Today challenge yourself to live outside of normal. Do something "different" at work. Speak to new people at work or speak or listen more than usual at work.
When you begin to live outside of the perceived normal, you begin to create your own normal and that is our birthright!

OM.2 - Day 8 & 9: Kindness

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
-Leo Buscaglia

These weekend make a change in how you treat yourself and others! Be kind and gentle to yourself and appreciate all that you are! Do not knock down your confidence with feeling lack or not good enough, instead be kind to yourself and appreciate all that you divinely are.

Be kind to those around you. If you feel comfortable, try smiling at people you do not know, give thank to people who help you, release the fear of making contact with other people, and instead connect through kindness.

Happy Weekend!

OM.2 - Day 8 - Taking It Easy

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (Phil 4:6)

"Let Things Come to you" - Yogi Bhajan (by way of Yogi Tea teabag)

The other day a good sisterfriend of mine who is embarking on a huge journey that requires a lot of physical and emotional stamina and time said to me that she almost quit the journey the other day, but she sat still and had some time with God, and a miracle happened that would allow for her to have the whole day off so that she wouldn't feel so overwhelmed. I realized and said to her, "Sometimes we just have to sit still so we can receive God's miracles"

I think our society often rewards those who do so much that they stretch themselves so thin. We think it is normal to be stressed and sleep-deprived while trying to go after our goal. Bless those of you who put your health and sleep first! But for most of us who are working so hard that sometimes we don't even get to enjoy life, today I encourage you to take it easy and let things come to you. If you already take it easy, take a day off from something that you always are doing. Today there is no need to be anxious, instead let us sit still and trust!

When or if you feel yourself going into a moment of stress, panic or fear - remember that you are connected to the Infinite Source and therefore never lacking in any area. Sit still and enjoy what is!

OM.2 - Day 7: Procrastination

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
-Aristotle

What are you repeatedly doing or not doing? Is this building habits that seem to be part of your everyday fabric?

I wanted to start off with this Aristotle quote because it shows that when we repeatedly do excellently, it forms a habit of excellence. When we are always doing our best, the best becomes a habit. Whatever we do, breathe, say, and think all sends a message to the Universe. When you are constantly sending the same message it begins to manifest in your life. By doing excellently, you will attract only excellence.

Today I would like to encourage all OM-ers to confront something that you have been procrastinating about. Perhaps it is washing clothes or dishes, or maybe it is cleaning your room. Maybe it is donating clothes to a local church or painting your bedroom walls. Confront this procrastinated thing with an approach of excellence. For example if you have wanted to remodel your kitchen for a long time, you might not be able to do that all today, but what you can do is call a contractor and get some quotes today or go to Home Depot and pick out some of the items that you want in your new kitchen. Approach all the things that you are procrastinating about with the detail of excellence and accept excellence as your habit.

Here is another quote to leave you with:
“Excellence is in the details. Give attention to the details and excellence will come.” - Perry Paxton

Today confront your procrastination and do it with excellence!

OM.2 - Day 6: Confrontation

“Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." Christopher Robin to Pooh
~A. A. Milne quotes
“Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing. Use the pain as fuel, as a reminder of your strength.”
~August Wilson

The English dictionary defines the word confront as "To bring face to face with:" Over the next couple of days I will be encouraging us to confront some of the issues, emotions, perhaps even people that we have locked away and has become apart of our unconscious. When you decide to rent storage space and put your furniture and miscellaneous items away, you still own these items and they still exist. Similarly we sometimes decide to store feelings, emotions and negative habits into our metaphysical storage units and keep them there until we are ready to deal with them.

Today I am encouraging you to begin the journey of making change by opening those storage units and letting out some of the stored items and cleaning it out!

Today on Day 6 I encourage you to begin keeping a list of fears and "bad" habits you are ready to let go of. If you feel ready, today I encourage you to confront one of your fears.

People may think they are fearless, but dig deep. What makes you hesitate? What makes you scared? Do you stay at your job because you are scared you won't get another? (start editting your resume) Do you experience moments of resistance when your phone rings with a number you do not know or that is a "Private Caller"? (Pick up the phone! Confront what is on the other line) Do you fear offending someone? (Speak your mind!) Begin to examine and note when you feel fear, hesitation and resistance. If you feel ready, start to actively confront those issues. But worry not, because writing it down and acknowledging it is an act of confrontation in itself. And once you confront it, it cannot bother you as much as before.

Have a great day!

OM.2 Day 5

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.” - Coco Chanel

Day 5 will encourage us to look at our daily habit of how we get dressed for the day. Today I encourage you to make some changes to your appearance in perhaps one of the following ways:
1 - Wear something you have never worn before
2 - Style your hair differently
3 - Wear something that you have been nervous about receiving criticism from
4 - Change your routine, and perhaps take time to get dressed slowly and pay particular attention to your clothing (i.e make time to iron or steam clothes)

I am a firm believer that the person makes the clothes, and the clothes do not make the person. I also think that because we make the clothes, we must acknowledge that our appearance is wholly based on our choice of priorities. If you ever feel not 100% satisfied with your appearance, let Day 5 be the day that you proclaim satisfaction in your appearance and that you take the responsibility and the time to create the appearance that you feel right about.

OM.2 - Day 4: Spicing It Up

Variety's the very spice of life, That gives it all its flavor. - Wiliam Cowper

Today's area to add change or newness to is to which we consume food-wise. Today I suggest trying a new food or beverage. Eat somewhere new, try a different coffee, cook a new dish, try a new item from the Whole Foods salad bar! For some people this may be VERY hard, and for others this may be VERY simple. Despite the difficulty level of this, we all reap the same benefits from this action which is expansion. We are sending a clear message to the universe that we are open and ready for new energy in our lives and that we are easily adjusting to change. We are expanding our comfort zone and welcoming positive new experiences and people into it!

OM.2 Days 2 + 3

"Just because something feels familiar doesn't mean its the most powerful use of your energy. Take responsibility. Life ebbs and flows. You create the quality of your life with your choices, and your power comes from learning how to navigate the ebb and flow..." - Brenda Anderson, "Playing the Quantum Field"

Over the weekend I suggest you continue to look at your routine. Think about what your "usual weekend" is like and try to break it up or add some spice in it. If you often run errands and feel like the weekend is full of tasks, do something to comfort yourself as well. Make yourself and self care your priority! If you feel like your weekends are times of vegging and "doing nothing", create something for yourself to do - perhaps complete a project at home you have been wanting to finish. Listen to your instincts and what your mind wanders off to.

Here are some suggestions:
-Wake up a new time and try a new habit. Perhaps wake up earlier and take a walk outside with no intentions but to give thanks, or wake up earlier and start your day with a prayer and or meditation. Mornings are a great time for a meditative practice and can really shape the rest of your day.
-Spend time in new spaces: Go to a different place for brunch or your morning coffee, try a new supermarket at a different time
-Take a new approach with some of your household chores. Does doing it with a smile make it more pleasant?

Observe your moods through the day and continue to note where you are feeling great and when you are feeling not so great, this will be useful when we begin to tap into changing moods and outlooks on things.

Life is to be lived and to enjoy every single moment!

Operation Manifestation (OM) 2 Returns: Making Changes

Happy Day 1! I love that today is July 10 because 10 = 1 from a numerological standpoint (1+0=1). 1 is the number of initiative and starts so I am confident that today will be a great day to start the rest of our lives!

"Your choices will change the world" - from a Traditional Medicines tea bag

Sometimes it may be hard to see, but it is true, our choices affect and change the whole world. When we smile at a stranger at the street, we send them love and compassion and then they may be encouraged to also send love and compassion...it is a domino effect.

Today's suggested area of habit/routine to make change in is in travel or transportation. Perhaps:
*You travel a new route to work
*You approach walking with new eyes to see all the beauty around you
*You give an extra big thank you to your bus driver/taxi driver
*Walk down a different street that you hardly walk down

While this may seem like a tiny choice, it will affect all the rest of your choices today, and will also affect your ability to make new choices and open your mind to new ideas and habits!

Note: Feel free to make a change in another area of your life. These are just suggested areas. All actions of making change or doing something different count!
